Hello, my name is Aurel Bernaschek, also known as AVREL.
I’m a music producer, DJ, artistic creator, and a passionate carpenter with a love for wood.
I began exploring music at a young age, taking my first creative steps with a Fostex X-15 4-track recorder, a bass guitar, various percussion instruments, a keyboard, and turntables. With these tools, I recorded my first home tracks together with friends — moments that laid the foundation for my musical journey.
I drew inspiration from legendary artists like Bob Marley, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Misty in Roots, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, John Lee Hooker, and many more. Around that time, FM4 became my favorite radio station, with shows like Swound Sound, Liquid Radio, and La Boom de Luxe fueling my passion. Those broadcasts sparked my early love for electronic music.
Later on, I discovered Ableton Live — a music software that still accompanies me to this day and has played a pivotal role in shaping my sound and creative process.
DJ
Driven by my enthusiasm for music, I began DJing at various events in 2023. Since then, I’ve played at Ecstatic Dances, in clubs like Ponyhof and Gönner Bar & Arts, at several festivals, and at the vernissage Frequent Mistakes by Max Böhme.
My musical spectrum includes Organic and Melodic House, Psytrance, Psybient, and Psydub.
URKLANG ACADEMY
In order to enter the music production business professionally, I decided 2024 to take a coaching course at the Urklang Academy.
Before I started coaching with Fabian, I had taught myself a lot and watched countless tutorials on specific topics. But as many of you probably know: at some point, that’s just not enough if you’re serious about making music professionally.
From the very first call, Fabian had me convinced – and I decided to go all in with the full program.
The sessions were a real eye-opener. For the first time, I truly understood which plugins are essential and how to use them effectively. I learned how to build an efficient workflow in my DAW to save time and work more productively.
The coaching is clear, structured, and hands-on – and even my entire working approach has improved significantly as a result.

Frequency
Over time, I also opened myself up to spirituality, which sparked my interest in healing frequencies. Mystical experiences with sound during meditation inspired me to create these powerful vibrations myself. My goal was to develop sounds that are not only harmonious but also deeply transformative.
A pivotal moment on my musical path was my introduction to Ecstatic Dance – a mindful and meditative form of free movement, intentionally different from what I had experienced in clubs and at music festivals.
This experience ultimately led to a creative collaboration with my wife, Sabine Sonnenschein. Together, we developed a new dance format:
The Energetic Dance Journey
This innovative project combines free dance with a clear and partially guided structure, along with the healing frequencies of the Cosmic Octave, as described by musicologist and mathematician Hans Cousto.
I place special emphasis on the chakras and their individual qualities. The flow of energy within the body is activated through chakra stimulation, breathing exercises, free dance, and uninhibited expression. Transformation occurs, energetic balance is restored, and a spiritual experience may unfold.
Launched in 2024, this project has already resonated with many people. It uniquely blends music, dance, and healing, creating a space for transformation and conscious experience.
